WHY "451-00749" ?
451-00749.ca was born as a focused online hub to help enable rapid Canada-wide awareness of Government-certified Petition No. 451-00749.
Soon after receiving paper petitions with 336 handwritten signatures
from residents across Canada, an elected Member of Parliament (MP) presented Petition No. 451-00749 to the Government of Canada as part of the March 26, 2026 House of Commons meeting in Ottawa.
The official procedure requires a response from Government within 45 days. [Note: that response doesn’t have to commit to action.] Now is when all citizens can easily greatly help, simply by emphasizing the urgency for action on the requests that were made in the Petition.
The requests in the Petition intend to give some relief and more hope to the many, many children and adults who painfully suffer debilitating, non-contagious, preventable physical illness, disability, exclusion, and premature death. The brutal intensity of directly related bullying and gaslighting, and inhumane discriminatory exclusion from society, is not tolerated by the general public in today's Canada for any other illness or disability. And some persons are, in effect, forced to try living in rough, outdoor, isolated, dangerous locations in order to survive. [Note: surviving does not mean thriving.]
Therefore ...
... we need an overwhelming number of kind or helpful residents of Canada to give a few moments of their time
to share the Petition and communicate their support of its urgent requests. There are suggested easy and quick ways to do that.
|
Please also help other people you know in Canada easily share and communicate their own support of the Petition requests.
This is about a dire humanitarian crisis that is usually hidden and discriminated against within Canada, so...
... our Government needs to feel the groundswell of Canadians who believe the Government should do whatever it takes to intentionally do-the-right-thing, and do it urgently and meaningfully.
Especially remarkable is that there is no valid excuse to delay actively providing the necessary solutions requested in Petition No. 451-00749. Why?
Because those partial solutions do already exist.
|
So what is the problem? Those existing partial solutions are usually either unknown, incorrectly assumed unattainable, or cruelly not offered; or availability is restricted in other absurd ways.

Dear MP [name].
Our family lives in your riding. We deeply care about the urgent need to achieve fulfillment of the three requests mentioned in Government-certified PETITION NO. 451-00749. It's regarding an ongoing, worsening, long-neglected personal health crisis in Canada. This is an serious, non-partisan issue.
I realize that the Government departments mentioned in the Petition will reply to it. We respectfully ask you to meaningfully represent our strong support for urging timely government actions that can urgently satisfy the Petition's requests, not merely adhere to petition processing protocol.
We, your informed constituents, also request that you encourage your Honourable colleagues to align their support with ours, to make rollout of known actionable solutions a top priority in regard to the requests in Petition 451-00749.
Please let me know by the end of next week what questions or ideas you have, or actions you've already taken, about furthering these important matters and our strong support of the Petition's requests.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Best regards,

This
1980s song popped into Barb’s head, along with the idea to have its lively music with different lyrics and a different number in it:
“4, 5, 1, double-oh 7, 4, 9"
p.s. Yes, she’s listening to the song while typing this. Its beat is good for motivation. Try it — you might feel the energy of being in-person at a rally even though you’re only dancing in your chair.
